Enter your furkid’s photo and win!

Lovely prizes up for grabs in the Roodepoort SPCA's photo competition

Is your pet just the most adorable fur-kid around? Want to share that cuteness with everyone? Then this is just the competition for you!

With February being the month of love, the Roodepoort SPCA is appealing to Roodepoort community members to show their love for the animals in their care. “We are running a fun photography competition and all money raised will be used for the day-to-day needs at the SPCA. The theme for the competition is, ‘I Love My Furkid’ and it only costs R80 per entry. There are some lovely prize hampers up for grabs, and people may enter as many times as they like,” said Nicole Manners, the SPCA’s fundraiser.

The competition is divided into two categories:

– I Love My Furkid, in which owners can send in photographs of their precious dogs, cats, puppies or kittens. According to Nicole, these photographs may feature more than one pet and may also have humans in them.

– Look how my Furkid has grown, in which owners are asked to send in two photographs, one where your fur-babies were still youngsters and another showing what they look now.

“Please note that no entries featuring exotic pets will be considered, and that entries featuring pets that are dressed up or wearing clothes will also not be allowed. Your pet does not need to have been adopted from the SPCA to be eligible,” Nicole said.

The entry forms, with terms and conditions, are available from Nicole at fundraiser@rdptspca.co.za. All entrants need to do is complete the form, and send it along with their photo/s and proof of payment, to Nicole. The closing date for the competition is 7 March.

“Please support the Roodepoort SPCA by entering, and spread the love!” Nicole concluded.
