National Create A Vacuum Day
Accept the challenge to create a vacuum on #NationalVacuumDay
4 February is National Create A Vacuum Day and you are challenged to try and create a vacuum, which is a space completely devoid of all matter.
When the pressure inside a space is lower than the pressure outside the same space, a vacuum is created.
To celebrate National Create A Vacuum Day, accept the challenge and try to create your own vacuum at home. In a world filled with minuscule particles of matter, it is difficult to create a space that has absolutely no matter. But, it is possible.
We create partial or simple vacuums at home daily, and one of the easiest ways to do this, is by using a syringe. By plugging up the open end of the syringe
and pulling back on the plunger, the space inside will be mostly free of matter – although there will always be microscopic particles that remain.
