Four with stolen property arrested

The vigilance of a Florida Police member led to the arrest of four people suspected of being in possession of stolen goods.

On 29 January at about 1pm the officer was at a fuel station on Clarendon Drive when he noticed a blue Volvo with four occupants acting suspiciously and driving recklessly. It seemed to the officer that the four men did not know the area.

He followed them and called for backup from the Johannesburg West Cluster. Its officers responded promptly and the suspects were cornered at the corner of Ontdekkers Road and 11th Street in Delarey. Two TVs, five cellphones, two remote controls, one gold wrist watch, five speakers, shoes and socks were found in the suspects’ vehicle.

It is alleged that the loot was from a house in Honeydew where a break-in had been reported.
