25 hours without water

Residents are urged to use water responsibly and always remember how important it is to save water.

Johannesburg Water wishes to inform residents of a planned water disruption that will last from 6pm on 24 January till 7pm on 25 January, said a social media public announcement.

Johannesburg Water states that the primary focus during this disruption is to maintain the Eikenhof Pump station.

The water supply disruption is expected to last at least 25 hours. It was also said that Rand Water will continue to supply water into the system at a reduced capacity but there might be poor pressures and no water supply experienced in affected areas in the Fourways area.

Update:

Joburg Water (JW) seems to be confused as to what areas will be affected by the planned water outage.

The JW marketing and communication manager, Isaac Dhludhlu said Roodepoort will not be affected.
