“A loud explosion was heard by some residents and it is assumed it came from the substation,” announced Caleb Finn, councillor for Ward 70.
Allegedly, a power failure occurred at the Nursery Substation in Florida Park. This power outage will affect parts of Florida, Florida Park, Discovery, Selwyn and Florida Hills. City Power technicians were sent to the site to assess the situation.
