Say no to bad service

Bad service must fall.

Roodepoort Licensing Department manager, Teddy Msimang, stands alongside the community in his efforts to put an end to bad service.

Stephen Barsons was left furious after he experienced bad service and poor attitude from the staff when he recently visited the Roodepoort Licensing Department to collect his vehicle licence.

Barsons said, “The service I received was the worst ever. When I wanted to report the matter, I was told no manager or supervisor was at the offices and I must go to the Florida Licensing Department to report it.”

According to the manager at Roodepoort Licensing Department, Teddy Msimang, bad service won’t be tolerated. “I am very disappointed to hear about the kind of service Barsons received from the Department.”

Msimang believes strongly in the principles of Batho Pele (People First). “Citizens should be consulted about the level and quality of the public services they receive and, wherever possible, should be given a choice about the services that are offered. They should also be told what level and quality of public service they will receive so that they are aware of what to expect. Public services should be provided economically and efficiently in order to give citizens the best possible value for money,” he said.

Msimang wants the Roodepoort Licensing Department to run solely on these principles and he will not stand for anything less. “Should anyone experience any kind of service that they are not happy with, they are free to contact me on 061 410 7364 and bring the matter to my attention. I will attend to it,” he said.

Business hours at the Licensing Department are from 7.30am to 3pm.
