The elderly woman who died at the Village @ Horizon Shopping Centre yesterday had suffered a heart attack.
This was confirmed by a friend of the bereaved family, Ruan Smith, who contacted the Record on their behalf.

He also said she was 68, not 78 as previously reported.
The woman was eventually declared dead despite paramedics on the scene being very helpful and doing their best to resuscitate her, he said.
