Elderly woman dies after collapsing at Horizon centre

Information is sketchy, but Netcare 911 confirmed that the woman was declared dead.

A 78-year-old woman died after she collapsed at the Village @ Horizon Shopping Centre yesterday (8 January).

According to Netcare 911 communication officer, Tebogo Magoro, their paramedics were not the first on scene.

“We were the third service on scene, but other emergency service staff did say that the woman was found not breathing and turning blue.

“The woman was then declared deceased by the emergency service,” Magoro confirmed.

Information is sketchy, as Netcare 911 did not have an ambulance on scene.
