National Technology Day

Recognise the future of technology on #NationalTechnologyDay

The world has been changed by technology – from the wheel to smartphones – and 6 January is the day to recognise those achievements, as it is National Technology Day.

Can you imagine a world without technology? In our daily lives we cannot take one step without coming into contact with some form of it – smartphones, laptops, computers and so much more. Technology Day was founded by StoAmigo, a technology-based company whose headquarters are in Las Vegas. Its inaugural year is 2016.

Tech jobs are among the strongest and fastest growing employment sectors, outside of the healthcare sectors. And, if we think about it, technology is the centre of most employment these days. From agriculture, healthcare, fitness to entertainment, food service and security, technology keeps us organised, connected, healthy and safe.

One section of the technology world that continues to advance and affect our lives is applications (or known as apps). With the advancement of smartphones, apps are way more than just games or photo-editing tools. If you haven’t made any resolutions yet, resolve to have a look at these trending apps:

– Tack App is a personal cloud app by StoAmigo that revolutionises accessibility. This app lets you pick any folder to drive on you PC/ Mac or your entire Android device and make it accessible through your StoAmigo personal cloud. Visit https://www.stoamigo.com/tack-app/.

– Circle of 6 is the tool to have when talking about personal safety. It is designed to get help in dangerous situations, quickly and discreetly. By tapping twice a pre-written message with GPS coordinates included are sent to designated recipients. To see what this app is about visit https://www.circleof6app.com/.

– Zombies, Run! is a game that has it all – zombies, exercise and fun. If nothing else motivates you to see what it’s all about, maybe visiting this link will do the trick: https://zombiesrungame.com/.

To celebrate National Technology Day talk to someone about your technology ideas. Ask for some advice on how to get your technology ideas to the right people.
