Residents urged to be safe during celebrations
The holiday season is upon us and residents of Roodepoort and surrounding areas are preparing for the Christmas and New Year period.
The Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg (CoJ), councillor Herman Mashaba, has taken this opportunity to share his end-of-year message with residents.
“As you and your families and friends settle into the festive season, I’d like to wish you all a peaceful and joyful time of receiving and spreading kindness and generosity.
I urge you to consider your own and others’ safety as you prepare to celebrate, being mindful of everyone’s right to rejoice in safety. I wish you all a joyous festive season, and a 2018 filled with the spirit of civic mindfulness,” he said.
