Local author expresses the benefits of sport in his new book

Duma indicated that book is only available in soft copy and will be soon be marketed on Apple ebook and other websites.

35-year-old self-published author, Thulani Duma, has collated all the benefits of participating in sport in his latest offering, titled Sport Benefits.

The book, which is available on request via digital platforms, dissects the advantages and also encourages people in general to take a keen interest in sport, whether it be rugby, soccer, basketball or tennis.

“This book is the official guide to all benefits associated with participation in sport, stretching the limits of available opportunities and resources that can help others achieve successful living,” the Grobler Park resident said.

The author said, “The book is targeted at children, adults, the community and the nation of South Africa as a whole. It aims to provide inspiration to become active and responsible citizens”.

“Sport benefits are composed of two basic elements – sport and benefits. Sports are games that are competitive in nature, require particular sets of skills and have specific rules. Benefits are known as ‘rewards for effort.’ The combination of sport and benefits includes the roles, impact and rewards of sports in modern society,” Duma continued.

He also explained that his book was published in November and features inspirational and famous quotes from former Minister of Sport and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula, and renowned basketball player, Michael Jordan.

Duma indicated that book is only available in soft copy and will be soon be marketed on Apple iBooks and other websites.

For more information or to place an order for the book, send an email to actionbrandinc@gmail.com or contact Thulani Duma on 081 402 7811. The book is available for R120.
