Only one more witness for the State, the pathologist, was supposed to testify today before Pelser would take the stand to testify for the first time, but she did not pitch up. At about 11.45am Magistrate Delize Smith and State Prosecutor Paseka Temeki announced that the case will be rolled over to tomorrow, but not before issuing stern warnings. Temeki warned that if the pathologist does not appear in court tomorrow, he will issue a warrant of arrest for her for contempt of court. Smith meanwhile told Pelser’s Defence in no uncertain terms that he must be ready to question Pelser tomorrow.
