Trinityhouse head girl leads by example

Trinityhouse High School Little Falls held their annual Valedictory Assembly to celebrate the achievements of their matric pupils and bid their graduating class of 2017 farewell.

There were laughs, and many tears from the learners and staff, and an overwhelming sense of school pride as the matrics told of their future endeavours and awards were given for academics.

The ceremony commenced with a beautiful devotion and prayer by Trinityhouse’s principal, Lynne Davis, followed by the high school choir who sang their hearts out.

Grade 11 student Thabo Kinana also performed an amazing rendition of ‘Forever Young’.

Cejay Coleman received an Honours blazer.

The second matric class graduation from Trinityhouse High School Little Falls was an especially emotional event as this class was the first to grace the high school from their start in Grade 8 all the way to Grade 12.

While many pupils took awards home, it was one student in particular who seemed to dominate the evening with her overwhelming academic achievements.

Head girl Jordan Anastasiou took home the dux scholar awards for highest marks, the Principal’s Trophy for excellence in all spheres, the Sportswoman of the Year for excellence in sport as well as awards for highest averages in Afrikaans, life sciences, mathematics, English, life orientation and physical science.

Jordan was also re-awarded full colours for academics, taking home the Top 10 award in trimester 3 as well as a gold certificate for her overall average of 93 per cent.

Cejay Coleman received an Honours Blazer for Full Colours in athletics, hockey and academics during the Valedictory Service. Cejay, who plans to study Laser Physics and Mechanical Engineering, is well on his way to a successful future, as he also received Full Colours for Academics and numerous gold, silver and bronze certificates for various subjects.
