CPF initiative to secure Florida Lake

Hopefully residents can enjoy a crime-free Florida Lake.

The Florida CPF Executive Committee in conjunction with the Gauteng Department of Community Safety have launched their new patrol team – Team Take Charge. The announcement was made on their Facebook page.

“The 15-strong team’s main aim is to show visibility around the Florida Lake parks during the festive season (December and January). The team is well recognisable in their orange and navy-blue uniforms. Should anyone encounter any problems around the Lake, the team will be available to assist as much as they can,” the post says.

“A great initiative by partnering with relevant role-players such as the police, Florida CPF and the Gauteng Department of Community Safety, making the Lake safer this festive season.

“Look out for our members. Give them a warm welcome and appreciate all they do for the community. A very big thank you to the team. From the Florida CPF Executive, you all have our support,” they concluded.
