Wall falls on seven-year-old
The boy was hospitalised with a broken leg and an injury to his foot.
A seven-year-old child’s leg was seriously injured late yesterday afternoon, when a wall fell on him.
The incident took place at about 5pm in the Plot 6 informal settlement on Progress Road. It is uncertain what exactly happened but community members said he was either playing by or on the wall when it collapsed.

The community and his caretaker, Mary Motshepe, said they are outraged since they have been warning the man who is busy building the house (of which the wall is part) that someone was going to get hurt. The boy has been in Motshepe’s care ever since his father, her brother, passed away.
