Little things can lead to bigger things

A local security company is targeting all sort of crimes in the area.

Trivial or not, BCI Security has continued responding to tip-offs and ensuring that reported matters are being investigated by the authorities.

This follows a successful operation at a group of informal dwellings on an open piece of veld near a building site close to Hendrik Potgieter Road in Strubens Valley, where the officers discovered several vagrants in possession of illegal merchandise.

“The teams came across several [homeless people] who have built shacks in the veld. Upon a search of the area our team found a yoghurt tub containing a substantial quantity of dagga, some in little bags ready for distribution,” said Gary Jordaan, BCI’s public relations officer.

As the company prides itself on its zero-tolerance approach to crime, Jordaan, added, “We will continue to investigate reports of criminal activity in our area and will act upon the information we receive once it’s verified.”

“The sceptics will say that we are wasting our time with dagga, but we say that those perceived little things always lead us to bigger things,” said Jordaan, hitting back at those who criticise their crime prevention activities.
