Woman shoots husband then leaves body in garage for three days

Wife claims it was self-defence.

A woman handed herself over to the police after she allegedly had shot and killed her 45-year-old husband and left him in their garage for three days.

The shooting incident was on 24 October and she handed herself over at Florida Police Station at 8am on 27 October. The incident took place at the couple’s home on Wemmer Drive in Discovery. She claimed that on the day in question they had an argument during which her husband tried to shoot her.

She allegedly shot him by accident instead. Allegedly “out of fear” she moved the body from the house into the garage where she wrapped it in bed linen and a camping canvass. She left it there for three days before she handed herself over.

The deceased was shot in his upper body.
