Your contribution can make a difference
December school holidays are looming, and most parents are already wondering how to keep their children busy.
This is also true for the children being cared for at Angel’s Place in Discovery.
They are currently caring for seven children – five boys and two girls – between the ages of two and 15 years and would love to make their school holiday, as well as Christmas, a special one.
“The December holidays are quite lengthy, and if there is anyone who would be able to sponsor an outing for the children, it would be much appreciated.
But, people should remember that an Angel’s Place employee will always accompany the children,” said Cisca Bartmann, Angel’s Place manager.
Cisca added that they would also love to do something special for Christmas lunch, and any assistance in this regard will be much appreciated.
They are in need of various items to help them with the day-to-day running of the house and would appreciate any donations:
• Chicken portions, mince meat, stewing meat, frozen/ tinned/ fresh vegetables
• Domestos, washing powder (hand and machine), Handy Andy
• Kotex sanitary pads (for the two girls), soap, body spray, shampoo, body lotion, toothpaste
• Two-minute noodles, any tinned food, milk powder, small packets of chips, small packets of snacks for lunch boxes, any juice or cold drinks, jelly, custard/ custard powder
• Sugar, Aromat, maize meal, rice, Weet-Bix, Corn Flakes/ Rice Krispies, ProNutro, coffee, hot chocolate, tea
• Basic medicinal supplies, including Panado (syrup and tablets), plasters, antihistamine, cough mixture, flu tablets/ syrup/ fizz tablets, nasal spray, Vicks, supplement syrup, Valoid, Immodium
• School supplies including pens, pencils, Pritt, colouring pencils, school shoes, suitcases, stationery bags, writing pads
