It is alleged that after Vance was assaulted he asked the paramedic, whose identity is known to the Record, to take him to hospital but was allegedly told by the paramedic, “Jy gaan nêrens, jou f****n gemors” (“You’re going nowhere, f*****g trash”).

The Record was told by an insider whistle-blower that it is common practice for tow-truck companies and private emergency services to ‘form relationships’. Whoever gets to a scene first, tips off the other. In this case the attackers were from Help24 who allegedly has such a ‘relationships’ with ER24. Vance was allegedly left in the veld and his father had to fetch him and take him to hospital.
