The little ones at Maragon Pre-school enjoyed being taught outside in the sun when the school celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day on 12 October. This is a global campaign that seeks to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play around the world.
The Ruimsig-based school was just one of 19 782 schools worldwide to support the cause. Learning and play activities were presented outside for the day.
The school reckoned that outdoor learning improves children’s health, engages them with learning and provides a connection with nature while teaching skills such as teamwork and creativity, all while having fun in the sun.
