Wilro Lions helping those in need

Help those affected by the storms by donating food, clothes or blankets

The members of the Wilro Park Lions Club are once again living up to their motto of “Where there is a need, there is a Lion.”

“After the devastating rain and hailstorms experienced on 9 October, our members immediately made the decision that we need to help. We will be collecting clothes, blankets and non-perishable food to donate to those who were affected,” said Sandy van Heerden, the club’s Public Relations Officer.

She added that they would appreciate all the help they can get. Community members wanting to make donations can drop their contributions off at the club at 16 Belladonna Road, Roodekrans, on Saturday, 14 October, from 9am to 12noon.

All donations received, will be put together with those from the club members and distributed to the people in need. For more information on this initiative, contact Sandy on 083 564 6388.
