National Do Something Nice Day

Stop for a moment and do something nice on #DoSomethingNiceDay

“Real generosity is doing something nice for someone who will never find out.” Frank A Clark

5 October is National Do Something Nice Day, a day serving as a reminder to us all to stop for a moment, take a break from our hectic schedules and fast-paced lifestyles, and do something nice.

If we all lived our lives by doing something nice, or doing nice things daily without having to think about it, it would be an ideal world.

To celebrate today, just do something nice. It can be anything, from buying a cup of coffee for someone in the queue at the coffee shop, complimenting the tired cashier, sending flowers and a card to someone just because — inviting your neighbours for a backyard barbeque or mowing someone’s lawn for them.

All these things – and more – should not be done once only, we should strive to live our daily lives being nice to each other.
