One man died and another was arrested after a collision this past Saturday (16 September).

The accident took place on the corner of Chauser Avenue and Prosperity Road in Lindhaven at about 5pm. It is uncertain what led to the accident between the VW Golf and Nissan bakkie. A man who was in a critical condition was rushed to hospital by ER24 but he passed away later.
The driver of the Nissan bakkie was arrested after he had been tested and allegedly found to be 12 times over the legal blood-alcohol limit.
The driver whom the Metro Police arrested was detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
