Pedestrian injured in taxi crash

The woman was rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries to her lower body in the accident.

 

A pedestrian narrowly escaped with her life after being bumped by a taxi in Cosmo City this morning, 14 September.

According to Quick Response Service (QRS), the taxi-driver lost control of his vehicle on the corner of South Africa Drive and Angola Street, resulting in it colliding with a traffic light, right where a woman was standing.

Denver Ramnarain, the emergency service owner and spokesperson, indicated that the woman sustained injuries to her lower body.

“She sustained injuries to her leg and hips and was taken to a hospital,” he said.

Ramnarain added that Joburg Metro Police arrived at the scene to investigate the matter.
