Owner thanks the community and plans to reward those who played a part in locating her cat.

Strubens Valley resident, Marietjie Neumann, is very grateful for the support she received from the community after she had been stressing about her missing cat.

Mia, the black and white cat, went missing from its home on Wednesday, 6 September.

A very worried Marietjie searched all over, eventually deciding to raise awareness on social media about the lost cat.

A few days went by, with the ever-hopeful Marietjie still searching, and appealing to locals to spread the message.

On Sunday, 10 September, a resident spotted the cat helplessly stuck in a tree on their premises. “A little girl saw Mia in the tree at her home and insisted that her mother find the owner,” said Marietjie.

She added that a few community members came out to assist in bringing the cat to the ground and she was later reunited with her four-legged friend.

Marietjie has offered her thanks to the community and plans to reward those who played a part in locating Mia.
