A man was arrested yesterday by Krugersdorp police for the possesion of illegal firearms.
The man is also a person of interest in the Klinkenberg murder case.
Klinkenberg was found dead near his vehicle on the Hekpoort road on 3 December 2015. At first it was believed that he had committed suicide but the police later changed the investigation to a murder inquest.

Highly reliable sources have told the Record that the suspect was arrested yesterday on a charge of possession of illegal (unlicenced) firearms but that the arrest was related to Klinkenberg’s murder.
The suspect’s identity is known to the Record.
