Dreams come true with Nickelodeon and Toys ‘R’ Us

Local learner, Aishania Naidoo, stands a chance to win the holiday of a lifetime for her family with Nickelodeon.

Local Maragon Ruimsig Grade 2 learner, Aishania Naidoo (7), is a finalist in the Toys ‘R’ Us and Nickelodeon Toy Sprint.

Aishania first entered the competition because she loves toys and has always wanted to enter the toy sprint. She could not believe she had won the opportunity and could not stop jumping around from excitement.

Following the battle for the top spots in each province, twelve young South Africans, including Aishania, have earned their place in the finals by racing through flagship Toys ‘R’ Us stores countrywide. These toy enthusiasts managed to pile up their trolleys in record time, scooping toys valued at R15 000 each.

For the month of August, fans can vote for their favourite participant by visiting www.nickelodeonafrica.com and clicking on the Toy Sprint Vote banner. They will be directed to the voting page where the 12 finalists will be displayed. Users can click on a finalist to watch the toy sprint short video, and then cast their votes. Once they have voted, they will be directed to another page where they will be able to leave their details for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch console.

Once the voting closes on 31 August, the ultimate Nickelodeon Toy Sprint winner will be announced and will win an all-expenses paid trip for themselves and three family members or friends to the Nickelodeon Hotels and Resort Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The prize includes round-trip airfare, five nights’ accommodation, plus US$1 800 (nearly R24 000) spending money.

Aishania’s mom, Veneita, is extremely excited for her daughter. “The toy sprint was amazing and it will be the ‘cherry on top’ if Aishania wins. It will be such a great achievement for a little girl to win a holiday for the family.”
