Daily operations yield positive results

At least 25 suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Honeydew policing area.

“You cannot escape the long arm of the law,” was the stern warning from Honeydew Police spokesperson, Captain Balan Muthan, after more than a score of perpetrators were nabbed for various crimes during an operation in the area.

At least 25 suspects were arrested between 21 and 24 August for a number of crimes they had committed in the police precinct.

Muthan told the Northsider that the criminal activities ranged from possession of dagga, fraud, and driving under the influence of alcohol, to both house and armed robberies.

“These arrests form part of our daily, ongoing operations. I want to tell the criminals that they can run but they can’t hide,” Muthan added.

The suspects will soon be appearing in court.
