Preschoolers learn from Paws for People

Junior College Snuggles Preschool learners learn about safety around dogs.

Junior College Snuggles Preschool had the opportunity to have Paws for People visit them with two adorable, loving German Shepherds.

The instructors showed the children how to play with a dog properly, how to give them treats and why not to go near dogs when they are eating. Megan Hunt, principal of Junior College Snuggles Preschool said, “Teaching children basic behaviour around dogs could prevent tragic accidents”.

Roxy, one of the two very talented German Shepherds put on a show for all her little friends when she showed them how she could talk, stay, lie down and sleep. The entire preschool learnt a song that will help them remember important information about dogs. At the end of the day, every child had the chance to play with and give the dogs a treat.
