Robbery gang caught hiding under trampoline

Volvo suspects may be linked to other similar house robbery cases.

A Volvo gang was arrested and found with false number plates in their escape vehicle after their attempt to rob a residence in Strubens Valley went wrong on 15 August.

The two suspects’ attempt was foiled by local authorities who chased after them. They decided to abandon their car and attempt fleeing on foot.

According to BCI Security, the suspects were caught hiding under a trampoline at a residence in the area by a K9 law enforcement unit.

The suspects were believed to be armed with dangerous weapons. The Northsider has learned that the suspects have been sought for two months and are linked to various cases such hijacking, house robberies and burglaries around Joburg.

Several police stations, including Linden, Sophiatown and Randburg, have requested information about these suspects to see if they are linked to similar cases in their precincts.
