Jo’burg Water officially announces good news

Large percentage of water supply has been restored.

There is good news for residents who have been left high and dry due to the past four days’ water crisis.

In a press release, Joburg Water writes “Water supply across the City of Johannesburg is normal, with reservoir levels across the city in a satisfactory position. Repairs have been completed and water has been restored to 85 per cent of the areas that were affected. We estimate that water should be fully restored by this afternoon”.

This comes after large parts of Roodepoort were without water due to a contractor damaging a pipe on Friday.
