Local actor to grace TV screens in ‘Bedford Wives’

Young local actor lands role in SABC 3's new TV series.

Graytin Pretorius is no stranger to the limelight and is expected to shine in his next role in Bedford Wives.

The Maragon Primary School learner has won many awards on the culture front over the last couple of years. To add to this long list of accolades, he has been offered a role by Burnt Onion Production in the new SABC 3 series called Bedford Wives, which starts on 17 August.

The story is based on the book by Mandy Wiener about the Mafia activities between Lolly Jackson and Radovan Krejcir. It is based in Bedfordview and follows the lives of four housewives. Graytin plays a naughty 12-year-old child of the De Villiers family. The rest of the cast consists of many well-known actors and actresses.

Graytin said he is very grateful for this opportunity and enjoys every moment. He is learning a lot from the experienced actors, actresses and producers. He spends most of his time talking and joking with the cameramen, wardrobe staff and crew.

Tilla Tredoux, the HOD for culture at his school, said, “We are so excited to have our own actor in our midst. The viewers are going to fall in love with Graytin. He is such a talented young man”.
