Transportation of pipes closes parts of JG Strijdom Road

The transport of pipes for the F46 Rand Water Project will require temporary road closures.

Residents are warned that parts of JG Strijdom Road may be closed completely for certain periods of time due to the F46 Rand Water Project.

Motorists and residents complained on 10 August that the road had been completely closed off between Jim Fouché Road and Cornelius Street. Community liaison officer, Jan Vonderheyde, explained that the JG Strijdom Road dual carriageway in that area was closed off on 10 August as trucks that transport the large pipes used in the project were off-loading on site.

Residents are reminded that the transportation of pipes will continue to happen from time to time, but the road closures will be temporary.
