Rocking to raise funds for the Roodepoort SPCA

Annual Rocking for Paws event to take place at Rumours Rock City

“Roodepoort SPCA hopes to see all the party animals at their fourth annual Rocking for the Paws event on 12 August,” said Nicole Manners, fundraiser at the Roodepoort SPCA.

The event will be hosted at Rumours Rock City, situated at the corner of Weltevreden Road and Valley Lane, Cresta. A total of 19 bands will be entertaining guests from noon until late donating their time and talents to the Roodepoort SPCA. WONDERboom and Lost and Found will be the headline acts for the evening.

Tickets cost R50 per person, and there will also be a raffle on the day with liquor hampers and other great prizes up for grabs. Tickets for the raffle will be sold at the door at R10 each. If you bring some dog or cat food, or a blanket (or both!) you will receive a free shooter at the door – courtesy of Rumours. The MCs for the evening will be Kerry-Ann Allerston from Mix FM and Bronwen Hirshowitz from B Sharp Entertainment.

“Roodepoort SPCA is extremely grateful to Mix FM, Fanbase Music Magazine, Rumours Rock City, as well as the bands and musicians who are participating, for their amazing help and support,” said Nicole.
