This past Friday (28 July) Florida Police’s Vispol (visible policing) unit acted swiftly to arrest the son of a complainant as well as the son’s friend.
At about 7am the neighbour saw the son and his friend enter the complainants yard. Knowing the son was not allowed on the premises, he watched him force open the garage door. The neighbour then called the police and security company. They chased the two intruders and caught them with a sound system in their possession.
The police questioned the suspects and they admitted to having stolen the items found in their possession. They were officially arrested and taken to the police station for detention. The suspects, aged 21 and 26, will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
