Black Tax – Celeste Ntuli’s hilarious take on SA

Celeste Ntuli brings her tour, Black Tax, to Silverstar.

Full-time stand-up comedian, Celeste Ntuli, returns to the stage in her tour, Black Tax, which has played to full houses and sold-out shows around the country.

The tour is Celeste’s hilarious take on everything from yellow bones and fifty shades to socioeconomics, which will make you think, laugh and fall in love with South Africa’s diversity.

Celeste has performed at some of the country’s biggest comedy events, including the Comedy Central International Festival, so Black Tax promises to have audiences laughing out loud.

She first captured the public’s attention as a top-ten contestant on SABC’s So You Think You’re Funny where she came third. This exposure allowed her to take up stand-up comedy as a full-time career and she has not looked back since. Many years later, Celeste is a household name and has become one of the female comedians in the forefront of a male-dominated South African comedy industry.

She is the first South African female to do a one-person show. This will be the second time around for the Black Tax tour. The tour has thus far been confirmed in eight cities this year, with the Johannesburg leg starting on 5 August at Silverstar. This is the biggest show of the whole tour. Tickets are from R180 per person and can be booked on the Silverstar website.
