After weeks of playing cat and mouse with the law enforcement fraternity, one member of the now notorious Bantam bakkie gang has been arrested.
Several lookouts for the suspects and their white vehicle were issued during the past week, and they were finally spotted yesterday (26 July) afternoon. After a chase involving the Florida North Quellerina Bergbron Community Protection Forum’s team, the driver of the bakkie finally lost control of the vehicle, and crashed in Florida.

The suspects on the back fled the scene but the driver was apprehended. The Bantam bakkie has been involved in house-breakings in Sophiatown, East Town, Roosevelt Park, Bergbron and Montgomery Park.
