Just when Karen’s* life seem to be on track, she is faced with another difficult situation.
The owners of the house where she is currently renting a cottage, informed her that the house is on the market. “This means that I will have to find another place to stay, pay my move again and I still don’t have an income. I don’t know which way to turn anymore,” said a despondent Karen.
About two months ago Karen and her children received an eviction notice to vacate the room which they were renting in a house in Hamburg. They were elated when they found this cottage because not only were there more room to move around, they had warm water and a kitchen.
But last week thing took a turn for the worst when the current owners informed her that the possibly of her moving again is on the cards.
“I have been struggling to find work and although I send my CV out to as many places as possibly, I don’t even receive a reply.”
She is very grateful to the people who has been helping her. “I have received some cash donations as well as groceries and I want to thank those people for their donations. I am so tired of struggling every day. I don’t know which way to turn anymore. It feels as if I continuously receive the wrong end of the stick,” she said.
