School of Rock rocked the theatre

Free band workshops at the Roodepoort Theatre

Audience members at the Roodepoort Theatre were thoroughly entertained by the Little Rockers.

This group formed part of the Marshall Music School’s annual holiday band workshops, where they were taught all the finer techniques of being in a band and how to play the instruments.

Students that attended the free band workshops put on a stunning performance at the Roodepoort Theatre.

“We offer free band workshops at all three of our branches (Krugersdorp, Roodepoort and Comaro). The students come to the school from Monday to Thursday from 8am to 12noon, where we teach them how to play in a band. This holiday, our theme was School of Rock, and the highlight of the week was the concert performed on Friday night,” said Vanessa Maher from the school.
