SPCA desperately needs blankets

Help keep the animals warm

The animals living in the Roodepoort SPCA kennels are in need of blankets to help keep the winter chill at bay.

“We are appealing to the community to help us by donating blankets, we are really desperate!” said Mandy Cattanach, the manager at the SPCA.

She added that the grey storm blankets sold at PEP and Ackermans will be perfect. “These blankets are stronger than normal ones, and can be washed a couple of times,” she said.

Should you be able to donate some blankets, you are welcome to drop them off at the Roodepoort SPCA offices situated at 3 Nadine Street, Florida. “If anyone has a number of blankets they would like to donate, they can contact the office on 011 672 0448, and we will arrange for collection,” she concluded.
