Residents left without electricity as an outage hits most parts of Roodepoort
Technicians have been called to resolve the issue.

City Power has expressed it sincerest apologies to residents of Roodepoort, amid a widespread power outage that has affected most of the city.
According to city power officials, areas such as Ruimsig, Honeydew and Constantia Kloof have been affected.
The power outage is reported to be caused by technical issues at the Roodetown and Kloofendal substations.
A technician says the substations’ feeders have tripped.
“We are at the substations assessing the fault. We will try to get it fixed as soon as possible. We really apologise for the inconvenience,” he said.
The power utility says residents will be notified on Twitter once the issue has been resolved.
