Trinityhouse runs (a)cross Little Falls country

Coverdale, Tyndale and Wycliffe compete in a cross-country race around Little Falls.

The three sports houses at Trinityhouse Preparatory School Little Falls rose to the challenge of competing against each other in the recent Interhouse Cross-country Event.

The event reflected the exciting rivalry between the three houses – Coverdale, Tyndale and Wycliffe. Learners from Grades 1 to 7 ran in age-dependent categories on the course, which included running through the Little Falls Nature Reserve.

From the mountains around the school and in the reserve, you could hear the echo of cheers as the house captains kept a constant war-cry going to cheer on each of the houses.

Marketing manager of the school, Adrienne Hadebe, said everyone enjoyed the day. Tyndale blew the competition away, scoring the most points and achieving an overwhelming win. Adrienne also said there was love and encouragement between the pupils and their rival teams throughout the event.

“The runners gave a 110 per cent today. We are so proud of their efforts and successes in their runs.

There are so many athletes that have excelled and continue to be the lighthouse of Trinityhouse’s sports programmes. Thank you to the school and to the staff for all they did to make the day a great success,” said senior sports coordinator, Wim van Eck.
