At about 9pm on Sunday (18 June), Florida CPF Sector 1 members were alerted to a serious accident on the corner of Ontdekkers and Hendrik Potgieter Roads in Florida North.
A CPF Sector 1 member from Florida Hills Residents Forum (FHRF) was first on scene and found a motorcyclist lying face down in the road. The motorcycle and motor vehicle involved were several metres from where the motorcyclist was lying.

Sadly the motorcyclist had succumbed to the injuries he sustained on impact.
Members of Maraisburg and Discovery Community Policing Forum, and Florida and Florida Park Community Forum assisted with the road closure and traffic control until the scene was cleared at about 11.30pm.
