Blessed with many talents

Abigail shines on the big drama stage

Maragon Private Schools’ Abigail van der Sandt participated in the recent Teatro Arti Eisteddfod. The competition was held at the Live Arts Little Theatre in Bartlett.

Teatro Arti is affiliated with the National Arts Association, the Gauteng Public Speaking League and the Gauteng Performing Arts Association. Teatro Arti is the National Arts Association’s largest Eisteddfod overseeing the project to ensure the highest national standards in the South African Eisteddfod community.

Due to Abigail’s top-notch performances, she was invited to the Prestige evening where she was rewarded for her hard work alongside participants who excelled in the various items and who were placed top in terms of marks awarded during the Teatro Arti Eisteddfod. She won six awards, a gold medal and three item winner awards.

She also received a gold medal for the overall winner award for modelling in the Grade 00 to Grade 12 categories.

Abigail’s scores are as follows:
Diploma for Drama – Dramatic – 90 per cent A++
Diploma for Drama – Classical – 92 per cent A++
Gold for Drama – Contemporary – 89 per cent A+
Diploma for Modelling – Runway – 91 per cent A++
Diploma for Modelling – Casual – 90 per cent A++
Diploma for Modelling – Formal – 90 per cent A++
Diploma for Modelling – Photogenic – 94 per cent A++
Item Winner for Modelling – Runway
Item Winner for Modelling – Casual
Item Winner for Modelling – Formal
Overall Winner – Gold Medal for Modelling
