UPDATE: Missing girls – no show for school

WELTEVREDEN PARK – The three girls who went missing on 2 June have still not returned home.

The three missing girls from Allen Glen High School did not attend school today and have not returned home.

They were last seen on 2 June at 1pm wearing their school uniforms.

The school confirmed that the Grade 9 learners did not attend school today and did not write their English exam.

According to the chairperson of the school’s governing body Warren Mackrill, “As per school procedure SMS’s were sent to the parents of the learners stating that they were absent from school.”

According to Honeydew Police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan two of the girls have been reported missing at the police station.

A third was said to be missing on Facebook posts from community members.

One girl went missing from Wildebraam Street and another from Amarant Street in Weltevreden Park.

If anyone has information pertaining to their disappearance, please alert your local police station.
