Africa Day celebrated with song and dance

Fleurhof Future Nation School's learners and educators go back to their roots

It was a festival of colour and music, as the learners danced to the beat of the African drums on the morning of 25 May.

The learners and teachers of the Fleurhof Future Nation School celebrated Africa Day during their morning assembly with a full programme.

The day’s celebrations were presented by every one, from the juniors right through to the seniors, and all present were entertained with music, dance, reciting of poems and a guitar solo from one of the teachers.

Everyone made sure they looked the part, and dressed in their different traditional clothing, adding to the festive atmosphere. The day’s activities were concluded by the singing of the National Anthem, whereafter the learners returned to their various classes.
