“ I know that things are tough at the moment for everyone, but now is the time to show the rest of the world that we can stand together and help our fellow man.”
These are the words of Astrid Guntenhoner, a community member who wants to help the children of the Baby Moses Child and Baby Sanctuary in Helderkruin stay warm this winter.
Astrid contacted Lanie de Klerk, the owner of Baby Moses, who confirmed that they are in dire need of winter clothes for some of the children. “They need winter jackets, long-sleeved vests and warm socks. I would like to make up a package addressed to each child,” said Astrid.
She added that, with all the various safe houses for abandoned and abused children in our communities that we are not even aware of, she wanted to bring Baby Moses to everybody’s attention. “As a mother of three, it breaks my heart knowing that these children don’t have a mother or father to turn to, or fight for them,” she said.
Astrid also said that that any other donations would be most welcome, including any other winter clothes, food, beverages, blankets and cash donations. “Cash will also be accepted and will be used to purchase the goodies for the children. Proof of purchases will be provided on request,” she said.

“Please join us to help the children to feel the cosiness, love and warmth they deserve,” she concluded.
