Snuggles Preschool children embrace diversity with odd shoes

RADIOKOP – Junior College Snuggles Preschool children celebrate diversity with their shoes.

Junior College Snuggles Preschool children recently celebrated Two Different Shoes Day and wore different coloured shoes to embrace their differences and diversity.

Megan Hunt, the principal of the preschool, said, “The kids had silly fun, laughing at their different coloured shoes. Diversity and differences should be celebrated and embraced every day.”

Dr Arlene Kaiser created this quirky celebration to laud the diversity and differences that make humans great. As a small demonstration of her love of differences, she started wearing two different coloured shoes two or three times a week.

This simple demonstration got people talking, which led to awareness and then celebration. To celebrate this day, individuals are encouraged to wear two different coloured shoes and carry that oddity on through the rest of the day. Two Different Shoes Day is a reason to show the world your true colours, and to take pride in everything that makes you unique.
