The 22-year-old Park Town Boys High School teacher who stands accused of the sexual assault and rape of more than 20 learners, is a Roodepoort resident.
He was exposed after CCTV footage surfaced that showed the teacher, who is also a water polo coach, allegedly fondling a 15-year-old. The Department of Education has accused the school of trying to cover up the matter, but the school said they did report it. The incident took place last November. The teacher was arrested the same night but released on R3 000 bail.

On Wednesday his defence disputed the legality of the search at his Roodepoort residence since neither the accused nor his legal team was present.
He will appear in court again on 11 July.
