UPDATE: Sewage spill halted, but smell and mess remain
LITTLE FALLS – Volvo car dealership employees appeal for a clean-up following a sewage problem
Employees from a Volvo car dealership on Hendrik Potgieter Road are now able to heave a sigh of relief after a sewage problem affecting their premises was apparently dealt with by Johannesburg Water (JW).

Dave Eagar from the company confirmed to the Roodepoort Northsider that the sewage spill began drying out from 4 May.
The company employees have been fearing health risks for almost a week after raw sewage started gushing into their premises from under drains on Hendrik Potgieter Road.
“The sewer has finally slowed down, but the sewage remains,”
Eagar confirmed, appealing to JW to deploy workers to clean up the mess.
Eleanor Mavimbela, spokesperson for Johannesburg Water, promised to follow up on the matter and to escalate it to the relevant department for a clean-up.
